Container Bot:
- The assignment is to use containers in a robolab program to store the value of light and then run the program to follow a black line using a light sensor.
- Before we began, we needed to know how to use containers. Mr. Croke explained to us that empty containers store a certain value in it and then that value can be used for a light sensor or any other sensor.
- Using that information we designed a program that used the store value of the start and when the value of that changes the robot then turns to the opposite direction. causing it to follow a line as shown in the bottom video.
in designing the robot we needed it to have two wheels moving it forward and one lose rotating wheel for turning. and a light sensor for the reading of the ground color.
- We were looking for a robot to follow a line in all different light and color, instead of programing a robot to follow a line in one light condition, using containers we can have the robot follow a line no matter what color or light condition.
- My feedback, was from Mr. Croke who help us design the program, telling us what we did wrong if giving me advise to fix it to work. such as telling me I couldn't put a jump behind a container 0, or else you'll keep losing your data.
- The skill I learned from this assignment, is that I learned how to use containers. Other projects that this would help, would be to read different color balls and put them in different spots.
- I wouldn't change anything in this assignment it was a perfect way to teach us students who t use containers, and that if he changed anything it would make it harder on students. That is my reasoning for keeping the project the same.
