Rope Climber
Our first prototype fpr the rope climber is probally the most simplest design I ever had to make. It involves one mottor that powers 5 connected wheels that are parrel to the motor. The friction of the wheels keep the robot going up or down, and the wheels maker sure that the robot doesn't slip from the rope. The strength of the mottor was able to carry the weight of the NXT During the first test it was succesful, it pulled up the weight of the NXT and made it all the way up and down the rope in less than a minute.
THE PROGRAM
The robot was controlled from a Motorola A855 running a program that allows the for remote control. This allows for more freedom in the operation of the robot and not requiring exact timing and extra sensors which would have added more weight to the robot.
